Over several sessions, preferably face-to-face, or alternatively via an online platform, I talk over the story with the subject.
I then use those conversations as a framework, delivering thoughts, reflections, and emotions in what is recognisably their voice.
A ghostwriter is so called for a reason – the reader should never know they are there.
Quality takes time. An 80,000 word book can take three to six months (or even longer) if it is to reach its true potential.
A good ghostwriter should be able to empathise with and understand, with emotional depth and clarity, the subject’s story.
Before choosing a ghostwriter it’s worth looking at both their background and the books they have worked on to establish whether they have the necessary experience and skills to deliver the beating heart of the story – to truly involve the reader and make them want to know more.
There are many publishers out there, of all shapes and sizes, looking for stories of every imaginable nature. We can discuss which might be the best fit.
I am more than happy to discuss personal memoirs not for general publication.
